JSON a CSV
Convierte un array de objetos JSON a formato CSV (valores separados por comas). Ideal para exportar datos a hojas de cálculo como Excel o Google Sheets.

When do you need to convert JSON to CSV?
JSON is the standard format for APIs and web applications, but plenty of people and tools work better with CSV. You need this conversion when exporting API data for analysis in Excel or Google Sheets, migrating data between systems that speak different formats, producing reports for non-technical users, importing into SQL databases that accept CSV, and creating readable backups of JSON data. This tool converts arrays of JSON objects into CSV while preserving structure and handling nested data.
Compatible JSON shapes and nested data handling
The conversion works best with arrays of uniform objects: [{name: "Ana", age: 30}, {name: "Mark", age: 25}] produces a CSV with name and age columns. Nested objects are flattened, so {user: {name: "Ana"}} becomes a user.name column. Arrays inside objects are either serialised as JSON strings or expanded into several columns depending on the configuration. Null and undefined values become empty cells, and ISO dates are preserved as strings. This tool lets you configure how these special cases are handled.
Delimiters and CSV formatting options
Although CSV stands for comma-separated values, different regions and programs use other delimiters. Excel in several European locales expects a semicolon, because the comma is the decimal separator. TSV uses a tab. This tool lets you choose the field delimiter (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe), whether to include a header row, how to quote values containing special characters, and the character encoding, including UTF-8 with or without a BOM for Excel. A badly configured CSV dumps everything into one column or mangles accented characters.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my CSV open badly in Excel?
The usual causes are a locale where Excel expects a semicolon as delimiter, special characters that need a UTF-8 BOM to render correctly, and values containing commas that were not quoted. As an alternative, import the file through the Excel Data and Get Data flow, which lets you specify the delimiter explicitly.
How do I handle JSON with deeply nested objects?
The tool flattens nested objects automatically using dot notation such as user.address.city. For complex nested arrays, consider preprocessing the JSON to extract only the fields you need, or reshaping it with a tool such as jq before converting.
Is there a size limit on the JSON I can convert?
The conversion runs in your browser, so the limit is your available memory. JSON files of several megabytes work fine on modern devices. For very large files of 100 MB or more, use a command line tool such as jq or a Python script that streams the input instead of loading it all at once.
Can I convert a single JSON object rather than an array?
A single object produces a CSV with a header row and one data row. That is valid but rarely useful. To turn an object into a vertical key-value layout, transpose it first: Object.entries(obj) gives you an array of [key, value] pairs that converts much more naturally.
